BJRU GRADED COMPETITION

At Easts, our Grassroots to Greatness pathway is designed to grow confident, capable players step by step. The U10–U12 stage represents a significant milestone, as players transition to rugby on a full sized field and continue developing their skills, game understanding, and love for the sport within a structured and supportive environment.

This phase prioritises participation, enjoyment, and safe progression, while reinforcing the values, teamwork, and respect that underpin our club culture.

The U10–U12 age groups mark the first stage of rugby played on a full sized field. Pathway laws for these age groups have been specifically developed to increase activity levels and maximise participation and enjoyment for all players.

In the U10 and U11 age groups, grading does not occur. In U12, the club undertakes grading across the whole cohort to help alleviate potential safety concerns and ensure an appropriate playing experience for all participants.
